Current Year Scholarship Recipients

The Far West Ski Foundation has announced the 2024 Athletic Scholarship recipients for junior racers. This program is designed to provide financial assistance to junior ski racers throughout the western United States where Far West Ski Association has a presence.

The Athletic Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, athletic performance, academic achievement, and community service. The program, now in its 19th year, has grown from an initial $1,000 in scholarships in 2004 to $13,700 in 2024, with the total awarded since the program’s inception close to $217,000 spread among 163 different junior racers.

This year was a record breaker for the foundation in that we awarded more than $13,000 in scholarships to 25 deserving individual racers.  This was our largest number of scholarships to date.
